TEL AVIV, Israel — This week, Call of Duty saw a massive series wide patch as every mainline entry in the storied franchise has had a new “IDF” difficulty option added to it. This new mode replaces all enemies with unarmed, malnourished children.

Microsoft, who owns the Call of Duty IP, released a statement promoting the update and praising the IDF.

“Call of Duty prides itself on delivering an action packed but still grounded experience to our players,” The statement read. “We wanted to give our fans a chance to play as one of the most elite fighting forces in the world. There is no other group trained so rigorously on the butchering of unarmed and oftentimes starving children who use their pleading eyes and gaunt forms in a cunning ruse to lull enemy combatants into a false sense of security before carrying out another October 7th. With the addition of an IDF difficulty our players can experience firsthand the tension of encountering a group of lethargic and malnourished children who want to kill you, and everyone you care about. The IDF difficulty demands asking the question: Is that an exposed rib, or a stick of dynamite strapped to their little chest? And more importantly, why take the risk?”

CoD fans on X The Everything App praised the addition. 

“Yeah, based.” Popular streamer Asmongold said in a clip uploaded to X. 

“I’m glad gamers will have the chance to see what the brave IDF soldiers are up against every day!” Trump acolyte Laura Loomer posted.

“This is a great way for younger people to learn why protecting Israel from scrutiny is more important than any man, woman, or child living in the United States. I checked in with the Baileys, and they agree!” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer posted.

Among the praise there were also a few detractors who saw this as another blatant way to try and normalize the violence and active genocide being carried out by Israel against Palestine, however their profiles and posts were deleted before anything could be archived.
