A recently-released sex mod for The Sims 4 includes 100+ animations depicting every sex act under the sun, but has left out the part where your partner points and laughs at your gross misshapen body.

The SimfulSinulations mod, the magnum opus of a selfless middle-aged librarian from Slovenia, allows players to mash two three-dimensional people together in ways that almost resemble real-life boning, although the grim realities of having your body dysmorphia pass a peer review are conspicuously absent.

Avid players, like Chris Terhune, felt let down once they tried the mod. 

“The Sims 4 isn’t some game. It’s real. Fucking. Life. If my Sim is dating a man who’s totally out of his league, I need that bubble to burst once the pixelated squares come off, know what I’m saying?” wrote Terhune on social media. 

Modder SimfulSabrina46 addressed the omission in an update she posted to The Sims subreddit.

“Hey guys! I’ve had a lot of requests for adding a ‘pointing and laughing’ animation and can confirm I’m working on it. It’s hard to get the facial expression right – I haven’t nailed the balance of disgust and amusement yet, but I think we’ll get there just in time for the festive season. Thanks for your patience!”

While waiting for the animation to be added, Sims players noticed the mod was also missing other staples of sexual intercourse.

“Any chance of getting some post-sex reactions in the next update? I’d love a weary sigh or a loveless, noncommittal kiss,” wrote a player named ladder_destroyaa. “At this point I feel like the sex is uncomplicated and enjoyable, which doesn’t work when resentment is beginning to creep into my Sims’ relationship and one of them even has a work wife. No offence but it’s kind of breaking my immersion.”

At press time, SimfulSabrina46 had more than delivered, allowing modders to have their characters cry, throw up or passive-aggressively roll over and start scrolling on TikTok directly following the act.
