THE CITADEL โ Investigative journalist Emily Wong’s remains were found stuffed in a suitcase earlier today, not long after the Citadel was formally acquired by a Saudi Arabian investment firm.
“It’s a real shame what happened to Emily. She was a great journalist and an important member of the Citadel but perhaps she shouldn’t have been sticking her nose in other people’s business,” said Councilor David Anderson at a press conference, flanked by large Saudi Men with M-76 Revenants and Omni-Blades. “While Ms. Wong will be missed, let this be a lesson to everyone on the Citadel. Now more than ever, keep your head down, don’t question authority and praise be to the glorious Prince.”
While suspicions have been raised that Wong’s death came suspiciously close to the Saudis purchase of the Citadel, that has been refuted by those involved with the deal.
“Just because a Citadel journalist is found chopped up and stuffed in a suitcase right after this deal is completed, everyone thinks we’re responsible. That’s just plain prejudice,” claimed the Saudis business partner known only as the Illusive Man. “Maybe the Turians killed her. Or the Krogans. Either way who cares. Journalists are the scum of the Earth. She had it coming. The Citadel is under new management baby and we don’t take kindly to ideas of freedom. If you don’t like that then keep quiet otherwise you’ll end up the same way. Not that it’s us who did it.”
At press time, when asked for comment, all Commander Shepard said was, “I’m Commander Shepard and this is my favorite regime on the Citadel.”
