EVER GRANDE CITY – After a treacherous journey through Victory Road, one local Pokémon Trainer made a costly error after accidentally teaching his Lv. 70 Blaziken the entirety of Dave Matthews Bands’ greatest hits, our sources report.

“My CDs must’ve gotten mixed up with my TMs, it was an honest mistake, I never intended to mock the hollowed legacy of the Elite Four,” said Youngster Lee, the Pokémon training prodigy who mistakenly forced a compact disc down his Pokémon’s throat. “I thought it was Flamethrower, because it was hot to the touch, but I later realized that was because I had been bumping DMB on my Jenson portable CD player all the way through Victory Road.”

This error was not discovered until Lee’s second battle through the Elite Four gauntlet, against Phoebe and her ghost-type team of Pokémon.

“The fight was going well, we were evenly matched, and then all of a sudden ‘Ant’s Marching’ started bumping out of his Blaziken like it was a Bluetooth speaker or something,” said the Elite Four member recounting the experience. “After that his turn was up, and my Dusclops landed a critical hit Shadow Punch and it was over, he looked mortified, I felt so sorry for him!”

Pokémon League officials have been debating the morality and legality of this never-before-seen Pokémon modification. Some argue it’s fine, while others condemn the act as Pokémon abuse. 

“It’s not right! It’s unnatural! How dare we force truly awful music upon these majestic creatures! And while we’re at it, let’s stop making them constantly fight and kill each other, maybe?” shouted one protester outside the Pokémon Supreme Court on the day of their decision on Lee v. the Pokémon. “I only hope that poor Blaziken can live a long life in kinder hands.”

At press time, Youngster Lee was arrested for a separate incident in which he allegedly fed his Flygon a copy of 2012’s Night Visions by Imagine Dragons.
