PALLET TOWN โ Earlier today authorities responded to a harrowing call involving local Pallet Town resident, Glenn Oak, after he accidentally shred a Bulbasaur to pieces while mowing his lawn.
โIt was one of the most gruesome things Iโve seen,โ Officer Jenny, who was first on the scene, told reporters. โGlenn Oak was unfortunately using a mulcher instead of bagging his grass clippings so the remnants of that Bulbasaur got sprayed everywhere. Weโre talking in rain gutters, in radiators of cars parked nearby, in the cracks along the sidewalk, you name it. If it was anywhere within 100 feet of Mr. Oakโs lawn, then it likely got splashed with a bloody piece of Bulbasaur. The unfortunate part is this was completely avoidable because the town community association regularly reminds residents to double check their grass to make sure it isnโt rustling or shaking before mowing or whipper weeding.โ
All the pieces of the Bulbasaur that could be collected were immediately rushed to the nearest Pokรฉmon Center, against the wishes of Nurse Joy (Manager and Head Nurse of the Center.)
โThere was literally nothing I could do, it was just bits and pieces of vine at that point,โ said Nurse Joy. โI told them not to even bother bringing it in, but they didnโt listen, so I stuffed what I could into a pokรจ ball and put it in the healing machine, but that obviously did nothing. Iโve never seen a Pokรฉmon in that bad of a state before, even compared to the Chikorita who was admitted last summer after being mauled by an Ursaring.โ
A few hours after the incident Glenn Oak uploaded a video to Instagram in response to the harsh backlash that he’s been facing, with some even calling for him to face the death penalty.
โFirst and foremost, I want to sincerely apologize for today, especially to my neighbors and other bystanders, who all had to watch me turn that Bulbasaur into a pulpasaur,โ said Oak. โI did not expect my Saturday morning to go like that, as Iโm sure that Bulbasaur didnโt either. I just want to say to the people calling for me to receive the death penalty over this; I think youโre overreacting a little bit. I guarantee there would not be this much public outrage if it were a Rattata I had minced instead of a Bulbasaur.โ
At press time, tragedy struck Kanto again, after a speeding bike on Route 17 plowed through a Charmander, killing the Pokรฉmon instantly.
